Accessibility

Designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

This site is built to be usable by everyone who needs to read it. This statement describes the measures implemented, the testing performed against every route, and the limitations CIVITERA reports openly rather than claiming conformance it has not established.

Measures

What is implemented.

Each measure below is present in the delivered site and is checked as part of routine testing.

Semantic structure

Every page uses semantic HTML with a single h1 and a main landmark, so assistive technology can navigate by structure rather than by guesswork.

Keyboard operation

Navigation is operable by keyboard, including the mobile menu, which is built from a native disclosure element rather than a scripted widget.

Visible focus

Focused controls carry a visible focus indicator, so keyboard position is never lost.

Content without JavaScript

Primary content is rendered on the server and remains readable with JavaScript disabled. No text is hidden behind a script-driven reveal.

Contrast

Colour combinations are checked against WCAG AA contrast thresholds as part of automated testing.

Reflow and zoom

Text reflows and remains readable on small screens and at increased zoom. Layouts are verified at five widths from 375 to 1440 pixels.

Reduced motion

The operating-system reduced-motion preference is respected.

Testing

What is actually tested.

Every published route is tested with axe-core 4.12.1 under its full default rule set, at both desktop and mobile viewports, with no rule disabled or suppressed. The current result is zero violations at every severity. Automated testing detects a meaningful share of accessibility defects but not all of them, and a clean automated result is not a conformance determination.

Limitations

What is not yet resolved.

Reported openly rather than absorbed into a conformance claim.

  • The public research document published on this site is a PDF that is not fully tagged for screen readers. An accessible alternative format is available on request.
  • Some technical diagrams convey relationships that are summarised in adjacent text rather than fully described.
  • This statement is based on internal review and automated testing. An independent third-party audit has not been carried out, and no formal conformance determination has been made.

This statement describes a design target and the testing performed. It is not a certification, an accreditation, or a formal conformance determination, and CIVITERA does not claim that this site is fully accessible.
